Butterfly, Vintage Vogue, Window Box

How cute is this box.  I did a color challenge with CPCM which was to use bashful blue and purple.  So this is what I came up with.  I actually used cardstock in bashful blue, Lavender Lace, and whisper white.  I then used the new clear stamp set called Vintage Vogue and stamped the whisper white paper all over to make it look like a DSP paper.  I just love the look of it and it was so easy with the clear stamps to be able to see where you were stamping.  I also used the stamp set Flight of the butterfly and the butterfly punch to get the big butterfly and then cut out the two smaller butterflies which I stamped one in bashful blue and the other in Lavendar lace classic ink.  I used two stamps to stamp in the big butterfly.  I also used the new punch from the sale-a-bration called Scallop Trim Border.  You can get this with a $50 merchandise order free when you place an order.  Thanks for looking and you can find the Window Box at splitcoast by clicking here.

Another Garden from the Heart Preview

I just love simple and cute cards and this was pretty simple.  I used a sketch I got from CPCM.  Instead of using flowers I used the flower brads called Filigree brads.  Of course this is the Garden of the Heart stamp set which is in the new mini and I used the clear stamps which I am beginning to love more and more as I stamp.  The DSP paper in the background is hostess gift for level 1 called Patterns Pack III.  The color I used here is Mellow Moss and whisper white.  So, there are only two colors to the whole thing.  The ribbon is from the current christmas mini.  Thanks for looking and come back tomorrow for some additional new items.

Two Step Bird Punch

I am going to love this new punch and also the new punch style by Stampin' Up!  It made this card so easy, but added so much flair.  I used the sketch from Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.  As soon as I saw the sketch, I knew I would use this punch and it worked out great.  The only stampin is the "thinking of you" which is an older stamp set from the idea book and catalog called Teeny Tiny Wishes, one of my greatest investments because i seem to pull it out all the time.  The Designer Series Paper is also in the new mini and is called Sweet Pea.  I just love the new designs of the paper and this comes in a paper stack.

Other items used by Stampin' Up! include 1/4" old olive grosgrain ribbon, classic ink old olive, whisper white card stock and of course another new punch that is in the sale-a-bration catalog, Scallop Trim Border punch.  And yes that punch is free with a $50 merchandise order from January 5th - March 31, 2010.  How great is that?  Thanks so much for looking.

Sending Love

Wow, On this one card I actually used a lot of my new items along with some I already had.  But I must say that Stampin' Up! has really went out of their way to introduce some great new items for this mini and sale-a-bration.  What a great way to start a new year!  I used the sketch from MOJO Monday to get myself started this morning and this is what I came up with.  I knew I wanted to use the new specialty designer series paper that premiers in the new mini and will be available on January 5th.  It is called Sending Love and is SPARKLY and SHIMMERY.  I just love it.  I actually cut out the flower behind the saying from one of the sheets.  Also new is the satin ribbon, Pretty in Pink.  Then I used a stamp set that is in the sale-a-bration, Whimsical Words, and yes this stamp set is free with a $50 order and you have the choice of getting it in the clear block stamps (which is new) or Stampin' Up!s regular stamps.  I used the clear block and I just love them.  It is so nice to know where you will be stampin.  And, as you can see, I used the new border punch that is in the mini to cut out the heart border.  I know you are going to love the new design of the punches.  They are so easy to use and the line up is great.  The 3 hearts were punched out by a punch that is in the idea book and catalog called heart to heart.  I just thought it went so well with the saying.  I also did the inside of the card with a new stamp set and an older one.  The new is called Vintage Vogue (in new mini) and the saying came from one of my favorite stamp sets, God's blessings.  Thanks so much for looking and hope you have a great day.  Come back tomorrow and I will share more with you.

Garden From the Heart

This is going to be a favorite for me.  I have always enjoyed working in the yard which makes it a little more personal for me.  The hat is just so sweet to me and reminds me of my mom working in the yard also.  She still tries to get out there and work and just hates that she can not do as much as before.  Anyway, this stamp is in the new mini starting January 5th and is called "Garden from the heart".  I am using the sketch from stamping 411.  If you like sketch challenges, please check the site out.  It is great.  I am also using another new stamp set from the mini called Tiny Tags and there will be a new punch called Medium Jewelry tag which I used to punch the small tag out.  Is it not just the cutest.  The designer series paper is from the new mini also and it is called "Sweet Pea".  It is in a stack of 48 sheets and it is two sided.  How great is that.  A lot of new things coming our way at Stampin' Up! and I am really excited.  Hope to share more with you as the week progresses.  Got a lot of work to do around the house also.  I hate it when house work gets in the way.  Don't you? LOL

Happy Birthday Erin

Today is my daughter's birthday and I decided to use some of the new Stampin' Up! items for her birthday card.  Of course I also had to add a few challenges to get it just right.  First of all I used the color combination from CPCM which was purple and white, so I used Lovely Lilac and Whisper White for the card stock and the classic ink.  And then I used the MOJO Monday Sketch for the layout.  It just seemed to fit right together and looks so much like my daughter.

I used two items from the sale-a-bration that will be available on January 5th.  Stamp set called "Whimsical Words" and a new border punch called "Scallop Trim Border".  Yes, with a $50 order you can receive this border punch for free.

Then from the new occasion mini catalog that is also starting on January 5th, I used the stamp set, "Messages fro Mom".  I thought the flower was so pretty and would even be pretty colored in.

Other items used was the 1-3/4" circle punch and the Circle cutter.

Non stampin' up! item is the embossing folder for cuddlebug.  Thanks so much for looking.

Christmas Tags

These are some tags I made to use for my Christmas Lesson in Sunday School tomorrow.  I ran the verses out on Stampin' Up! whisper white card stock and then cut them out with different shapes or used the tearing method which I forget can really add something to a card, tag or scrapbook page.  I then added ribbon, ink around the edges or whatever I thought was needed.  I also used the 5 petal flower punch to make some poinsettias for some and the Ornament punch for others.  The DSP I used was Merry Moments, Holiday Lounge and Christmas Cocoa Specialty.  I thought they turned out very well and I will give them to the ladies that read the paticular scripture that is on the tag.  I took them in front of my TV in the craft room, so you will see the Sanyo in some of the pictures. lol  Did not think of that when I was photographing them.  Oh well!  Enjoy and thanks for looking.

Stamping Christmas Songs

Hello everyone, I am still trying to finish up Christmas and this has been a week of very little stamping, which I am now having withdrawals. lol  But I did find these cute songs over on Horsing Around with Dena' blog site and thought I would share with all of you.  Now you have something that you can sing at Christmas when you are stamping away!  I am also going to add pictures of some of the projects I have done during the last few months of stamping.  Enjoy!

Winter Wonderland

Brayers roll....are you listening.
On the card... ink is glistening.
A beautiful sight... we're happy tonight,
Stamping in a winter wonderland.

In the kitchen we can build a snowman.
Then add color to his carrot nose.
You'll say: Are you finished?
I'll say: No ma'am,
I need to add some glitter to the snow.

When we stamp... ain't it thrilling.
Even when... the powders spilling.
We'll create and we'll play...the art stamper way,
Stamping in a winter wonderland.

Jingle Bells

Dashing through the snow
To the hostess house we go.
O'er the streets we pass
Anxious to spend cash.

Stamps are everywhere
Making spirits bright.
Oh what fun it is to sing,
The stamping song tonight!

Stampin' Up!, Stampin' Up!,
Stampin' all the way!
Oh, what fun it is to stamp
In the good old fashion way!

Stampin' Up!, Stampin' Up!,
Stampin's here to stay!
Oh, what fun it is to stamp
All the gifts you give today!

Let it Snow

Oh the weather outside is frightful
But the inks look so delightful
So while the winter is cold and damp
Let us stamp! Let us stamp! Let us stamp!

It doesn't take much convincing
And I've brought a tool for crimping
Choose some paper, turn up the lamp
Let us stamp! Let us stamp! Let us stamp!

When we carefully press just right
How we smile as the image unfolds
Add some color, so bold, so bright
The result is a sight to behold.

Our projects are quickly drying
And there's new techniques for trying
So until we get finger cramps
Let us stamp! Let us stamp! Let us stamp!

Deck the Halls

Deck the halls with foils and glitters, Fa la la lala, la la la la.
Tis the season for us stampers, Fa la la...

Don we now our inks and powders, Fa la la...
Troll the heatguns and embossers, Fa la la...
See the card stock blank before us, Fa la la...
Strike the ink and join the chorus, Fa la la...
Follow me in merry masking, Fa la la...
Join us in some Yuletide stamping, Fa la la...

Faint away with chalks and markers, Fa la la...
Hail the new, ye rubber stampers, Fa la la...
Stamp with joyous all together, Fa la la...
Heedless of the times that's passed us, Fa la la...

12 Days of Christmas

On the twelfth day of Christmas
my true love gave to me...

12 rubber stamps,
11 handmade papers,
10 embossing powders,
9 duel tip markers,
8 paper edger's,
7 assorted ink pads,
6 funky stickers,
5 exotic glitters,
4 brass stencils,
3 craft punches,
2 paper crimpers,
and a brand new embossing heat tool.

Rubber Wonderland

(sing to tune of Winter Wonderland)

Rubber calls are you listening?
Glitter falls bright and glistening.
Were happy tonight, Our stampings so bright . . .
Wading through a Rubber Wonderland.

In the craft room we can stamp a snow card,
send it onits way to a friend.
They'll say did you make it?
You'll say Yeah, man and you can stamp one too, yes you can!

Later on, well conspire,
as we sit, by the fire,
to face unafraid
the mess that we made
wading through our Rubber Wonderland

Preview: Vintage Vogue

My new stuff, wow it is great.  But to start with, I found this sketch at Stamping 411 and I love their sketches.

I know there are some of you out there who are wondering what is coming with the new mini catalog and also sale-a-bration.  Well this is a preview of both.  The paper is one of the free items you can get in January with a $50 Stampin Up purchase.  Yes, free.  Don't you love it and there are so many more colors and designs.  Also, the stamp set that I used is from the new mini and it is called Vintage Vogue and guess what, you can now get the stamp in the wood mount version or Clear-mount.  How exciting is that.  I used the clear-mount set for this one and can tell you I loved it.  It is different than the other clear-mount stamps on the market because you can still enjoy the same high-quality rubber and foam you've grown to love on our wood-mount stamps, but now in the new clear-mount stamp option!  It is just too cool.  Also the clear-mount blocks are shaped like the wood so it makes it easier to hold and stamp.  I am really excited about what is happening with Stampin' Up!  With this card I also used a new brad that is in the new mini and the ribbon and classic ink used is one of the in colors Melon Mambo.  Other items used to make the card:  Oval large punch, oval scallop punch, Whisper White cardstock and melon mambo card stock.  Thanks for looking.

Last 3 Christmas Boxes

Well here they are, my last three boxes that I needed for the candles.  I am so excited to be finished and actually love these last three.  I also used a new border punch that will be in the Spring mini that is coming out January 5th.  So I finally got to use one of my new items.  Can't wait to get to the rest.  See picture at bottom of post for close up of how the punch was used.

The first box on the left, I used 2008 leftovers from the Christmas Scrapping Kit and the other two were from this years DSP's, the one in the middle from the big catalog and the one on the right from the Christmas mini catalog.  I just love that white snowflake on the specialty paper in the mini.  It is like felt when you rub your fingers over it, so i just kind of left it plain.  If you would like directions on how to make these boxes, please click here and it will take you to a previous post.  Thanks for looking.

Another Candle Box

What a busy week and I am still trying to get to stamping and have just been so busy.  It is just that time of the year, but I can not wait to get to my new stuff.  I know there are going to be a lot of excited people out there.  I know that I am.  Anyway, I still have about 3 boxes left to make for my candles and then I will be done.  So here is another box using the Christmas Jingle Scrappin kit.  I did use the ornament punch and the stamp set that goes with it to make the gift tag on top.  I just love this punch and the stamp set.
Thanks so much for looking and hopefully I will have some new stuff within the week to share with you.   Will just have to see how my shopping goes.  I am behind on that also.

Candles

Sorry I have not posted in a couple of days, but it has really been busy with decorating and my daughter being sick.  Too much going on this time of the year.  I am also preparing for a Christmas Party at my house on Saturday night, plus I have a Church Christmas party tonight.  So you see it is busy at my house.  But here are two more candles I have done in preparing for gift giving this year.  I will probably post another box tomorrow that I have made to put them in.  I just love doing this and it is really easy.  With this I used the stamp set Wings of Friendship and colored in the image with my markers.  Then stamped on the tissue paper and continued on to add to the candle.  This is an easy set to use for candles, because there is no coloring on the tissue paper.  I also used a retired stamp set for the verses on the candles and can not remember the name at this time.  Thanks so much for looking.

SU Gift Certificate

This is a gift certificate for Stampin Up that I made for a friend along with an envelope to put it into.  I have to find reasons to use this retired SU Stamp Set when at all possible.  I don't think a Christmas has went by that I have not used it.  I actually printed up a small certificate to go inside of the holder, but did not want to show because it already had the name on it and if I showed that it would spoil the surprise.  The dimentions are approximately 4" X 2-1/2".  I layered with the Holiday Lounge DSP which is in the big catalog.  Cardstock used was Sahara Sand and Taken with Teal.  For the envelope I used the Delightful Decorations Stamp Set and punched the ornament out with the Ornament Punch.  This is a must to have for the Christmas Season.  I have used it so much even in demonstrating.  The back of the envelope is pictured below.  Thanks for looking.

Sweet Treat Snow Globe

I have been wanting to try this since the very beginning and last night was the night.  I thought it really turned out great and so far no water has leaked out.  I was uncertain exactly how to do it, but I had seen some out there, so I just went for it.  This one hostess stamp set, Holiday Best, was just right for the project.  It image fits right into the sweet treat cup background.  Actually, it is behind the window sheet that is holding the water in the cup.  I am going to have to start taking pictures of working on the project so I can show exactly how it is done.

I first of all stamped the image on whisper white card stock after coloring the image on the stamp with the ruby red marker and the always artichoke marker.  I used the 1-3/4" round punch and punched the image out and then set it to the side.  I used some of my retired riding hood red card stock and cut it to about 2 1/2" by 4" (which is longer than it is here).  I then used the sweet centers stamp set (ornament top) stamped in versamark and stamped it on the top part of the card stock.  Got the silver embossing powder and poured over the stamped image and then heated it with the heat gun.  Again using the 1-3/4" round punch I punched out the circle right up under the embossed ornament holder.  I then turned it over and applied my adhesive to the back prior to putting the sweet treet cup through the hole.  Once I did that, I then put the sweet treat cup through the hole, poured in very little of the dazzling diamond glitter and then filled with water.  At this point you will need to be careful not to wet the top of the cup where the adhesive will come off.  You will take the adhesive off and apply a piece of the Stampin' Up! window sheet that has been cut to cover the adhesive part of the cup.  Once you do this you are almost done and you can shake and move the snow globe.  The base of the card is made with whisper white card stock and the background is the specialty DSP Christmas Cocoa.  I then used a piece of the White satin ribbon and attached.  Took the first image I had punched out and applied to the center of the cup over the window sheet.  Added a few glue dots for extra adhesive and attached all to the card.  I did cut down the riding hood red card stock to about 3-1/2" long.  Right up under where the circle was punched out.  Hope this makes since, but if not let me know and I will try to explain better.  Thanks so much for looking.

Dasher Ornament

This ornament was so easy and only took me about 10 minutes to make.  You could actually make quite a few in a matter of minutes once you have everything together.  I actually found it on StampinUpLNStampers, blog finds for the day, which is a group of Stampin Up demonstrators and any one else who would like to join.  They use only stampin up items on their blog finds for the day.  It was so easy and instead of telling you how to do it, I will just send you to the tutorial which is here, and called Stamp with Tami.  All you have to have is a clear ornament ball that you can get at Michaels or AC Moore, Stampin Up Silver embossing powder, versamark, embossing buddy, stamp set and heat gun.  Please check out the tutorial and thanks for looking.
